It was a pleasure meeting and talking with all the parents that came for parent interviews. It was a pleasure talking with you about your children and the progress they have made this term. We now look forward to second term and all the fun and exciting things we will be learning in the next few months.
Dance-a-thon!!! Our dance-a-thon will be taking place on Friday, February 25th. Thank you to those parents and children who have already brought in their pledges. We have raised $147 so far, but could do better, if we could everyone to participate in our pledges. So, get busy and bring in your pledges!!!
We have been busy in our Reading Groups, reading and discussing our chapter books with our groups. Some really good discussions have taken place and the boys and girls are almost done their books. They will be working on writing a letter to the author as well as a character trait poster.
We will soon be starting a new unit in Science, on Pulleys and Gears. But you can check out a whole bunch of new websites on my blog. Just go to the right hand side and find the link It's All About Science. There are lots of new sites for you to check out and try.
Don't forget about the multiplication sites, they are a great way for you to practice your skills!!!
