Short and Sweet!

It was a short and sweet week in Room 102. The boys are girls are in the middle of their Book Club readings. Each group is reading a different book and they come together at least once a week to share and talk about their books. We are working on an important reading strategy; Asking Questions. The boys and girls are getting lots of practice using sticky notes while they read to write their "THICK" questions. Thick questions or statements make you think and they do not have a quick answer, for example,
What if...,How come...., I wonder....

Room 102 was very busy gathering research and putting together travel brochures for the provinces that each group researched. They look amazing!!

We finally started to use our recorders this week!! The boys and girls are busy learning the different notes in hopes of learning a song or two for the winter concert on the 17th of December. Look out for an invitation next week, we will be making them using Microsoft Publisher.
